MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641093420 A) filed by Infineal Private Limited on July 31, 2026, for Selection Of Geo-Fenced Ground Stations For Optimized Satellite Data Downlink Using Ai-Driven Fov Overlap Analysis.
Inventors include Govindassamy, Sivakumar; and Hariharan B.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT SELECTION OF GEO-FENCED GROUND STATIONS FOR OPTIMIZED SATELLITE DATA DOWNLINK USING AI-DRIVEN FOV OVERLAP ANALYSIS A method for selecting ground stations from GEO-fenced locations for satellite data downlink operations comprises querying, by an Artificial Intelligence (AI) engine deployed in a cloud environment, a Satellite Catalog Management Entity (SCME) database to retrieve Radio Frequency (RF) profiles and orbital parameters of active satellites, executing, by the AI engine, a spatial-temporal overlap detection algorithm to identify non-target satellites having transmission windows overlapping with a target satellite during a scheduled ground pass, deriving, by the AI engine, an impact analysis based on the identified overlapping satellites to determine predicted decode success rates for a plurality of ground stations within a GEO-fenced region, and selecting, by the AI engine, ground stations from the GEO-fenced region based on the predicted decode success rates to optimize satellite data downlink.
