MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641118986 A) filed by Dayananda Sagar College Of Engineering on October 05, 2026, for Self-Calibrating Reusable Smart Formwork System With Zonal Curing And Safe-Demoulding Interlock.
Inventor includes Dr. Rupesh Kumar Tipu.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: A reusable smart formwork system for cast-in-place and precast concrete includes a modular panel, removable dual-path acoustic cassettes, an addressable curing-fluid layer, a controller, and a fail-secure demoulding interlock. Each cassette obtains a concrete measurement signal and a reference signal through an in-cassette member of known acoustic length. The controller uses the reference signal to correct measurement drift and determines a conservative local condition value for each panel zone. A manifold independently supplies curing water or temperature-control fluid only to a deficient zone. A normally engaged blocking member prevents release of a designated tie, wedge, clamp, or latch until every required sensor is healthy, the minimum conservative zone strength exceeds a demoulding limit, non-uniformity remains within limits, and the conditions persist for a hold period. The arrangement combines reusable in-situ sensing, local curing, and physical release control to reduce premature demoulding, uneven curing, water use, and manual inspection.
