Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a self-healing eutectogel composition (100) for preparing a eutectogel membrane (102) derived from an acrylamide–lactic acid system for oil–water separation applications. The composition (100) comprises a deep eutectic solvent (104), a high-melting amorphous solid (106), a polymerized eutectogel network (108), and a porous substrate (110). The eutectogel membrane (102) exhibits underwater superoleophobic characteristics, thereby enabling selective permeation of water while restricting oil passage to achieve oil–water separation efficiency of at least 97%. The composition (100) demonstrates self-healing, injectability, and shear-thinning behavior, thereby enabling extrusion-based processing, pattern formation, and printability for customized functional structures. The composition (100) maintains chemical stability in saline, acidic, and surfactant-containing media, thereby ensuring reliable, durable, and consistent separation performance for environmental remediation and industrial wastewater treatment applications. The eutectogel membrane (102) exhibits enhanced mechanical integrity and reusability during repeated separation cycles under diverse operating conditions without degradation.
