Abstract: A self-igniting incense or aromatic product is disclosed. The product includes a combustible aromatic body and at least one friction-ignitable region provided on, in, attached to, embedded in, laminated with, or integrated with the aromatic body. The friction-ignitable region is configured to initiate ignition of the aromatic body upon frictional contact with a compatible striking surface, without requiring a separate matchstick, lighter, candle, lamp, gas flame, electric igniter, or external flame source. The product may be formed as an incense stick, agarbathi, dhoop stick, dhoop cone, backflow cone, incense coil, sambrani cup, aromatic tablet, pellet, disc, block, strip, strand, moulded body, compressed body, or other combustible aromatic product. The invention also includes packaging, striker cards, holders, stands, trays, burners, and kits having compatible striking surfaces, as well as methods of manufacture and use.
