Abstract: ABSTRACT: Self-Optimizing Pyrolysis System with Closed-Loop Energy Recovery for FRP Recycling This invention describes a self-optimizing pyrolysis-based recycling system for processing fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) waste under oxygen-limited conditions. The system enables recovery of reinforcement fibers, condensable hydrocarbon fractions, combustible gases, and solid residues through controlled thermal decomposition. A real-time gas composition feedback mechanism continuously monitors key gaseous constituents to determine process efficiency and reactor-state conditions. Based on the analyzed gas profile, an adaptive control architecture dynamically regulates process parameters including temperature distribution, residence time, and gas recirculation to optimize resin cracking while preventing thermal degradation of fibers. The system further incorporates staged condensation for liquid recovery and gas purification followed by closed-loop energy reuse, wherein non-condensable gases are utilized as an internal energy source. The disclosed system improves decomposition efficiency, reduces tar formation, minimizes external energy requirements, and enables consistent processing of heterogeneous FRP waste streams.
