The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: SELF-POWERED ELECTROPLATING SYSTEM WITH PASSIVE ENERGY CONDITIONING As illustrated in FIG. 1, a self-powered electroplating system comprises an electroplating cell, a contact-separation TENG and a passive power-management circuit coupled between the TENG and the electroplating cell. The circuit comprises an inductor connected between input terminals, a diode connected between a second input terminal and a storage node, and a capacitor connected between the storage node and a first input terminal. The anode is connected to the storage node, and the conductive cathode is connected to the first input terminal, thereby connecting the electroplating cell in parallel with the capacitor and establishing cathodic polarity. Successive contact-separation cycles generate pulses that are accumulated in the capacitor until a potential sufficient for metal-ion reduction is established. The accumulated energy is supplied to the electroplating cell to reduce metal ions at the conductive cathode and deposit a metallic coating without grid or battery power.
