The planter (100) comprising a rectangular frame (102) supported on wheels comprising rear wheels (104a-104b) and front wheels (106a-106b); a Brushless DC motor (110) mounted on the rectangular frame (102) and operatively connected with the rear wheels (104a-104b) through a chain and sprocket transmission (112); a controller (114) electrically connected with the battery assembly (108) and the Brushless DC motor (110); a V-shaped tray (116) positioned on an upper portion of the rectangular frame (102) and configured to receive chili seedlings; parallel feeding channels (118) extending from the V-shaped tray (116) for guiding the chili seedlings; reciprocating planting tubes (126) connected with a planting mechanism shaft (120) through a linkage mechanism (128) configured to convert rotational motion into reciprocating motion; and conical lower ends (130) provided on the reciprocating planting tubes (126) for punching holes into soil.
