Abstract: ABSTRACT A semantic answer volatility prediction system (110) and method for adaptive cache lifetime determination are disclosed. The method includes receiving a user query (114), extracting temporal intent indicators, domain indicators, and entity references from the user query (114), and generating an answer volatility score indicative of a predicted likelihood that information contained in a response (116) will change over time. The method further includes assigning a time-to-live (TTL) value to the response (116) based on the answer volatility score and storing the response (116) in association with the assigned TTL value. The method further includes collecting user satisfaction signals from user feedback (118) associated with the stored response, generating a cache confidence score based on the collected user satisfaction signals, and adjusting persistence of the stored response based on the cache confidence score to improve response freshness and cache utilization efficiency.
