MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611104113 A) filed by Chandigarh University on August 29, 2026, for Sensor-Integrated Athletic Uniform With Biomechanical Monitoring And Tactical Intelligence System.

Inventors include Priyansh Sharma; Akshit Chaudhary; and Swati Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an integrated athletic performance and tactical intelligence system comprising a textile athletic uniform having a multimodal sensor network including electromyography (EMG) sensors, flex sensors, ultra-wideband (UWB) anchors, inertial measurement units (IMUs), and respiratory and pressure sensors. On-garment micro-hubs acquire, pre-process, time-synchronize, and wirelessly transmit sensor data through a mesh network to a field hub and cloud-based artificial intelligence engine. The system fuses biomechanical, physiological, and positional data to evaluate athlete performance, team behaviour, coordination, synergy, and leadership. A digital twin engine generates real-time holographic representations with spectral overlays indicating muscle activation, fatigue, strain, force vectors, and predicted movement. Role-specific artificial intelligence models identify performance deviations, while a Tactical Intelligence Core simulates strategies, proposes formations, and generates playbooks. A coach interface enables validation and personalized corrective training and prescriptions, establishing a closed-loop adaptive performance optimization system.
