Abstract: 1. Shading device for a vehicle window. 2.1 Such a shading device having a shading web and having a rotatably mounted winding shaft, on which the shading web is held so as to be windable on and off the latter, an end region of the shading web remote from the winding shaft being connected to a dimensionally stable pull-out profile which is guided for parallel displacement between an idle position and a shading position, guide elements being provided at opposing end faces of the pull-out profile to guide the pull-out profile, said guide elements being guided on guide tracks positioned fixedly on the vehicle when fitted so as to be operational. 2.2 According to the invention, the shading web has a parallelogram-shaped basic area and the winding shaft is capable of limited linear displacement along its axis of rotation. 2.3 Use in passenger vehicles for shading side windows. 3.
