Abstract: A shielding device for cooking, comprises of a rectangular frame 101, with a protective fabric attached within the frame 101, configured with multiple primary hinge 102 and having straps 103 incorporated with rollers 104 provided at the edges of the frame 101 for fastening the frame 101 with a body of a user, a laser sensor embedded on frame 101 detects a dimension of waist of the user, a moisture sensor provided on frame 101 for detecting splashing water on the fabric, a rectangular flap 105 having multiple pivot joints 106 and attached with the frame 101 by means of a ball and socket joint 107 for shielding the user from the water, an imaging unit 112, installed on the frame 101 to determine the user extending wet hands, and a water absorbent material on a surface of a pair of U-shaped bars for drying of hands of user.
