Abstract: A sign language translation system includes a wearable glove worn by a user, five flex sensors positioned along respective fingers to measure bend angles, and a six- axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) generating orientation and motion data. A microcontroller unit on the glove receives sensor readings, generates an 11-feature data vector, and executes an embedded neural network model to classify the vector into a gesture class within 50 milliseconds. A wireless communication module transmits the gesture class via Bluetooth Low Energy to a companion device. A companion platform on the device converts the gesture class into audible speech via text-to- speech output, assembles multi-word sentences, and tracks usage via a gamification module. (Figure 1)
