Abstract: A silicone modified organic polymer is shown and described herein. The silicone modified organic polymer is a reaction product of a composition comprising an organic polyol, a silicone resin, and a hydrophilic silane. The hydrophilic silicone modified resin is directly dispersible in water. An aqueous dispersion of the silicone modified organic polymer is suitable for use as an additive in a coating composition.
