Abstract: ABSTRACT “Single Image Stereo-Synthesis Utilizing Disparity-Based Warping and Inpainting Techniques” The present invention discloses a method and an electronic device (400) for generating a synthesized stereoscopic image. The method includes generating, by the electronic device (400), a disparity map of a downscaled input image. The electronic device (400) selects a warp technique from a plurality of warp techniques for the disparity map. The electronic device (400) synthesizes a warped disparity map of a stereo pair based on the selected warping technique. Further, the method includes inpainting holes in the disparity map based on closest neighbors, determining an interpolation kernel by interpolating the synthesized warped disparity map, and upscaling the stereo disparity map based on the interpolation kernel. Finally, the electronic device (400) generates the synthesized stereoscopic image from the input image and the upscaled disparity map. FIG. 6a
