Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to a user equipment (UE) for wireless communication including at least one memory and at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the UE to transmit an indication to a network entity indicating UE capability, which includes an enhanced codebook for single-layer uplink multiple input multiple output (MIMO) transmissions, and receive, from the network entity, a transmit precoding matrix indicator (TPMI) indicating a value of the enhanced precoder codebook, wherein the enhanced precoder codebook includes a precoder for every combination in which the phase rotation of a first antenna port relative to each of one or more remaining antenna ports of the UE relative to a first antenna port is a multiple of 90 degrees, and the value is associated with a precoder of the enhanced precoder codebook to be used by the UE for uplink transmissions.
