MUMBAI, India, July 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411095919 A) filed by Mahindra & Mahindra Limited on December 05, 2024, for Sleeve-Type Shaft Coupling Device In A Farm Vehicle And A Method Of Assembling The Same.

Abstract: The present invention describes a sleeve-type coupling device and a method of assembly the same. A coupler sleeve (202) having a bore and internal splines at both ends (222, 224) is coupled with a driving shaft (216). First end of driving shaft is coupled to a drop-box assembly (204). Second end (314) of driving shaft has external splines that are engaged with the internal splines at one end (222) of the sleeve. The sleeve is engaged with a driven shaft (206). First end (218) of driven shaft has external splines that are engaged with the internal splines at another end (224) of the sleeve. Second end (220) of driven shaft is coupled to a front axle assembly (210). A dowel pin (310) is inserted into a blind hole (303) of the sleeve. A circlip (312) is disposed into a groove (308) in the circumference of the blind hole. (Figs. 3b)
