MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611068503 A) filed by Chandigarh University on June 01, 2026, for Smart Bio-Light Diffusing Film System For Circadian Balance.

Inventor includes Siddharth Arora.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a smart bio-light diffusing film system for circadian balance designed to automatically regulate both the spectral composition and spatial distribution of natural daylight indoors, thereby supporting healthy circadian rhythms. The film is constructed as a multilayer system that integrates a tunable diffusion layer, a selective spectral modulation layer, transparent electrodes, and an edge-mounted control unit. The system receiving real-time input from ambient light sensors and, optionally, physiological or behavioral indicators from occupants, dynamically adjusts diffusion and wavelength transmission. An embedded algorithm calculates circadian-aligned optical targets and drives the film to deliver softened, spectrally optimized daylight while maintaining outward visibility.
