Abstract: ABSTRACT Smart Cart System with Automated Billing and Indoor Navigation The present invention discloses an intelligent shopping cart system for retail environments integrating automated item identification, billing, theft detection, and indoor navigation. The system comprises a cart-mounted identification reader, a weight sensing unit, a display unit, and a wireless processing unit connected to a remote database. Items placed in the cart are automatically identified and verified using identification signals and weight comparison, and billing data is generated in real time. A navigation subsystem utilises stored landmark data and image-based recognition to determine user location and compute an optimised path within the retail space. Directional guidance is provided through a user device. The system reduces manual intervention, enhances operational efficiency, enables real-time inventory tracking, and improves the overall shopping experience.
