The device (100) may include a crutch body (102), load sensing assembly (104), signal conditioning unit (106), processing unit (108), wireless communication unit (110), visual feedback unit (112) and protective housing arrangement (116). The signal conditioning unit (106) is configured to amplify, filter, convert, or condition the load data. The processing unit (108) is configured to determine a weight-bearing parameter based on the load data. The visual feedback unit (112) is configured to provide a real-time indication corresponding to the determined weight-bearing parameter. The protective housing arrangement (116) is integrated within hollow portions of the crutch body (102) and configured to accommodate the signal conditioning unit (106), the processing unit (108), the wireless communication unit (110), and a power supply unit (114).
