Abstract: The present invention relates to a Smart E-Pass Generation System designed to automate the process of issuing, verifying, and managing travel or service passes through a secure digital platform. Traditional pass issuing systems rely heavily on manual processes, physical paperwork, and in-person verification, which often leads to long queues, administrative delays, data duplication, and fraudulent pass generation. These limitations reduce operational efficiency and create inconvenience for both transport authorities and passengers. The proposed Smart E-Pass Generation System introduces a centralized web-based platform that allows users to apply for passes online, verify their identity through OTP-based authentication, and complete payments digitally. After successful verification and payment confirmation, the system automatically generates a digitally signed electronic pass (E-Pass) in PDF format. The generated pass contains user details, a unique pass identification number, validity period, and optionally a QR code for quick verification by transport officials. The system architecture includes multiple modules such as user registration, secure login authentication, application processing, eligibility verification, discount calculation, payment gateway integration, automated pass generation, and administrative monitoring. The platform also supports role-based access control to differentiate between applicants, administrators, and verification officers. All application records and transaction data are securely stored in a centralized database for efficient management and auditing. Furthermore, the system enhances transparency, reduces operational costs, and promotes paperless governance by eliminating the need for physical documentation. Automated notifications inform users about application status, approval, and renewal reminders. The scalable architecture allows the platform to be deployed across multiple cities or transport departments and can be extended to support mobile applications, QR-based validation, and integration with smart city digital infrastructure
