Abstract: Title: SMART ENERGY MONITORING SYSTEM WITH WI-FI BASED LOAD CONTROL AND COST ESTIMATION The titled invention discloses a Smart Energy Monitoring System with Wi-Fi Based Load Control and Cost Estimation to provide real-time electrical parameter monitoring, wireless data access, and remote load control. The system measures voltage and current using sensing transformers (1), (2) and extracts energy consumption data 10 through pulse acquisition (3) from an existing energy meter. An embedded microcontroller (4) computes power, energy usage, and electricity cost based on predefined tariff models. Real-time data is displayed locally and transmitted wirelessly using a Wi-Fi module (6). The system also enables remote switching of electrical loads, supporting demand-side energy management. By eliminating the need for 15 meter replacement and using low-cost embedded components, the proposed solution offers a practical, scalable, and cost- effective approach for smart energy monitoring in residential environments
