Abstract: Title: Smart Glove for Paralyzed Patients The present invention relates to a smart glove designed for paralyzed patients to assist them in communicating basic needs and ensuring their safety through gesture recognition, real-time feedback, and emergency alerts. The glove incorporates flex sensors, an accelerometer, a microcontroller, an LCD display, a GSM module, and a voice playback module. The flex sensors detect specific finger movements, which correspond to various requests such as needing water, hunger, or calling a doctor. The accelerometer detects sudden movements or falls, sending alerts to a caregiver's mobile device via the GSM module. The system also provides auditory and visual feedback to the user. A failsafe mechanism is implemented to ensure safety by preventing accidental injury during sudden hand or arm movements. This invention enhances the communication, independence, and safety of paralyzed individuals while allowing caregivers to monitor and respond promptly to the patient’s needs.
