MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641071883 A) filed by Jyothi Engineering College on June 10, 2026, for Smart Health Monitoring Bin.
Inventors include Mr. Amel Shaju; and Dr. Jenson Jose.
The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a Smart Health Monitoring Bin configured to integrate health monitoring, dietary assessment, waste classification, artificial intelligence processing, and cloud-based analytics within a single intelligent apparatus. The invention comprises an RGB-D imaging subsystem, biometric sensing subsystem, data fusion engine, automated waste segregation mechanism, communication module, and user interaction interface. The biometric sensing subsystem acquires physiological parameters including heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, body weight, and body height, while the imaging subsystem performs food recognition, nutritional assessment, freshness evaluation, and material classification. A data fusion engine integrates physiological measurements with dietary and historical information to generate personalized health assessments and wellness recommendations. The invention further provides automated waste segregation through intelligent material identification and routing mechanisms. Health assessments and environmental data may be securely transmitted to cloud platforms for long-term monitoring and analysis. The invention facilitates continuous, non-invasive, personalized health management while simultaneously promoting environmental sustainability and responsible waste disposal practices.
