Abstract: The present invention relates to an Intelligent Rural Healthcare Access Platform, a unified digital system that connects rural citizens, healthcare facilities, healthcare workers, and government authorities on a single platform. Rural and underserved communities frequently face long travel distances, uncertain waiting times, unavailable doctors, and unclear medicine and service availability before a visit; a 2024 CAG audit found that 36% of Maharashtra Primary Health Centres (PHCs) audited did not have Medical Officers posted. The proposed platform addresses this by analyzing village and facility-level healthcare information through a Healthcare Gap Score and intelligent analytics, rather than recommending care based on distance alone. The system considers doctor and specialist availability, medicine and diagnostic availability, patient demand, and transportation to identify the most suitable healthcare option for a citizen. It further provides facility recommendation, early warnings for shortages and access deterioration, medicine and workforce intelligence, referral bottleneck monitoring, and medical camp planning support for government authorities, while offering citizens services such as healthcare discovery, doctor/medicine availability checks, referrals and emergency assistance information. Healthcare workers are enabled to update and verify facility, doctor, service and medicine information, improving the reliability of data used across the platform. The invention is implemented as a cloud-deployable software platform using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React on the frontend, providing a scalable, low- cost, software-based solution for improving the accessibility and quality of public healthcare services in rural and underserved areas.
