Abstract: ABSTRACT SMART INSULATED GARMENT FOR NEONATAL TEMPERATURE REGULATION A smart insulated garment (100) for kangaroo mother care includes a multi-layer fabric body (102) having an inner layer configured for contact with a neonate, a middle thermal insulation layer, and an outer layer, wherein the multi-layer fabric body (102) defines a neonatal compartment for holding the neonate against a caregiver. At least one heating element (104) integrated within the multi-layer fabric body (102) provides active thermal regulation. A temperature sensor (106) embedded within the garment measures temperature in real-time. A control module (108) operatively connected to the heating element (104) and the temperature sensor (106) adjusts thermal output of the heating element (104) based on temperature measurements from the temperature sensor (106). A digital display (110) shows current temperature readings. An alarm system (112) generates an alert when the measured temperature deviates from a predetermined range.
