Abstract: The present invention relates to an IoT-based smart agricultural monitoring and automated irrigation management system configured to improve agricultural productivity through real-time environmental sensing and intelligent irrigation control. The system comprises a microcontroller-based control unit, soil moisture sensor, temperature sensor, humidity sensor, water level sensor, light sensor, motion detection sensor, communication modules, relay-controlled irrigation mechanism, and user monitoring interfaces. Environmental data is continuously collected and analyzed to determine irrigation requirements. When soil moisture falls below a predetermined threshold, irrigation is automatically initiated and subsequently terminated upon restoration of desired moisture conditions. The system further enables remote monitoring, cloud-based data transmission, wireless communication, local display of operational parameters, and real-time notifications. The invention provides efficient water management, reduced labor requirements, enhanced crop monitoring, improved resource utilization, and supports precision agriculture through integrated sensing, communication, and automated control technologies.
