Abstract: A smart luggage storage system (100) for use in a transport or storage environment is disclosed. The system (100) comprises a storage enclosure (120) configured to house luggage and a movable platform (102) disposed within the storage enclosure (120) for supporting the luggage. A motorized actuation mechanism (103), driven by at least one drive motor (105), is operatively coupled to the movable platform (102) to translate the platform between a storage position and a retrieval position. A control unit (110) is configured to regulate operation of the system (100) and is operatively connected to an access control module (130) for authenticating a user prior to permitting access. The system (100) further includes a sensor subsystem (112) configured to monitor operational conditions including load, proximity, and obstacle presence. Based on authentication and sensor inputs, the control unit (110) enables controlled and safe movement of the movable platform (102), thereby ensuring secure, efficient, and automated luggage handling.
