The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a smart transdermal drug delivery platform comprising LCD 3D-printed crosslinked hydrogel microneedles embedded with dual stimuli-responsive core-shell nanocarriers and integrated with a wireless NFC or BLE module and thin-film resistive micro-heater on a flexible substrate. The nanocarriers comprise drug-loaded chitosan derivative cores coated with a thermoresponsive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-N,N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate) shell exhibiting reversible lower critical solution temperature transition at 38 to 44 degrees Celsius and pH-responsive capability. Upon wireless smartphone actuation, the micro-heater triggers thermoresponsive shell transition enabling programmable pulsatile release through skin microchannels. The system achieves 3.4-fold on- demand release enhancement, cumulative triggered release exceeding 71 percent within 24 hours, skin permeation flux of 18.7 micrograms per square centimetre per hour, and retains 85 percent performance after 3-month accelerated stability. The reversible thermal mechanism enables multiple sequential dosing pulses, distinguishing this platform from non-reversible melt-based prior art systems.
