MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641082317 A) filed by Iinvsys Private Limited on July 03, 2026, for Smart Monitoring And Predictive Analytics System For Electric Water Heater Performance Optimization.

Inventor includes Govindassamy, Sivakumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system (100) for monitoring and predicting performance of an electric water heater (106). The system (100) comprises a plurality of temperature sensors (102) positioned at different levels within a water tank (104), a current sensor (108) configured to measure instantaneous current consumption, a flow meter (250) connected to monitor water flow, a control unit (110) communicatively coupled to the sensors and connected to an IoT cloud connector (112) for bidirectional communication, a data storage (114) configured to store temperature data, current consumption data, and flow data, and an analytics engine (116). The analytics engine (116) calculates ramp-up time and ramp-down time, monitors current consumption during heating operations, detects performance degradation, and generates predictive maintenance alerts. The system (100) further provides filament degradation detection, thermal insulation evaluation, tariff-aware scheduling, and capacity optimization recommendations through real-time dashboards (118), reports, alerts, and a mobile application (120), enabling energy savings and improved operational efficiency.
