Abstract: ABSTRACT The rapid advancement of robotics and intelligent systems has increased the demand for autonomous robots capable of navigating dynamic environments. This project presents the design and development of a Smart Moving Robot with Obstacle Avoidance, capable of autonomous movement and real-time decision- making. The robot uses sensor-based perception to detect obstacles in its path and employs intelligent control logic to avoid collisions while maintaining smooth navigation. The system integrates a microcontroller with distance sensors to continuously monitor the surrounding environment. Based on the sensor inputs, the robot processes data using predefmed algorithms to determine the optimal direction of movement. The obstacle avoidance mechanism enables the robot to stop, turn, or change its path automatically without human intervention. The robot's movement is controlled through embedded software that ensures accuracy, reliability, and real- time responsiveness. This project demonstrates the practical application of robotics, embedded systems, and algorithmic logic in autonomous navigation. The proposed system is cost-effective, scalable, and suitable for applications such as indoor navigation, surveillance, and smart automation systems. The implementation highlights the importance of intelligent control in developing autonomous robotic systems. Autonomous mobile robots are increasingly used in modem applications such as smart automation, surveillance, logistics, and indoor navigation. The objective of this project is to design and implement a Smart Moving Robot with Obstacle Avoidance that can navigate autonomously in an unknown environment while avoiding collisions. The robot is capable of sensing obstacles in real time and making intelligent movement decisions without human intervention.
