Abstract: ABSTRACT A smart notification system (1) for passengers in sleeper coaches, train berths and bus seats is disclosed. The system comprises a processing unit (2), a satellite positioning module (3), a memory (5), a distance calculation module (6), an actuator driver (10) and a vibration alert unit (11). The satellite positioning module (3) continuously provides current geographical location data (16) to the processing unit (2). The processing unit (2) compares the current location with destination coordinate data (17) stored in the memory (5) and calculates a remaining distance. When the remaining distance becomes less than or equal to a predefined threshold value, the processing unit (2) generates an activation signal (18) to the actuator driver (10), thereby energizing the vibration alert unit (11) positioned near a passenger seat or sleeper berth (12). The vibration alert unit (11) silently notifies the passenger without disturbing nearby passengers.
