Abstract: ABSTRACT: Smart Pollution-Absorbing Road Divider with Integrated Air Filtration and Monitoring System This invention describes a smart modular road divider system configured to function as both a traffic lane separator and an urban air pollution mitigation apparatus. The system integrates multiple pollution control mechanisms, including photocatalytic degradation of gaseous pollutants, hydroponic biofiltration for particulate capture and carbon absorption, and active multi-stage air filtration employing HEPA and activated carbon technologies. Ambient air is drawn through the system, purified, and reintroduced into the environment. The system further incorporates solar- powered energy generation with battery storage for autonomous operation and a rainwater harvesting mechanism to sustain the biofiltration layer. Additionally, IoT-enabled sensors continuously monitor air quality parameters and transmit real-time data to centralized platforms. A microcontroller-based control unit dynamically regulates system functions based on environmental conditions. The invention provides a scalable, self-sustaining, and infrastructure-integrated solution for reducing vehicular emissions and improving urban air quality.
