Abstract: ABSTRACT: Smart Public Washroom System with Automated Hand Hygiene Compliance Enforcement Mechanism This invention describes an intelligent smart public washroom system as shown in FIG – 1 configured to enforce hand hygiene compliance through automated monitoring and access control. The system employs a plurality of sensors to detect hand presence, soap dispensing, water flow duration, and handwashing gestures, and processes the collected data using a microcontroller-based control unit to evaluate adherence to predefined hygiene protocols. A motion or vision-based analysis mechanism ensures that proper handwashing techniques are performed. An electronically controlled door locking mechanism restricts user exit until compliance is verified. The system further provides real-time audio-visual guidance to instruct and assist users during the handwashing process. Safety features, including emergency override and fail-safe mechanisms, are incorporated to ensure user protection under all conditions. The invention enhances sanitation standards, ensures consistent hygiene compliance, and reduces the risk of disease transmission in high-traffic public facilities.
