Abstract: An off grid smart reusable bag vending and return kiosk (100) is designed as a closed loop system for sustainable bag distribution and recovery. The kiosk (100) features a weatherproof casing (102) that houses and protects all operational components, including a touchscreen user interface and scanner (104) which enables QR code generation, user interaction, and digital deposit hold transactions. A first chamber (106) stores multiple reusable bags, while a dispensing mechanism unit (108) releases a single bag upon transaction validation. For returns, a return slot (110) directs bags to an RFID gate (112) that verifies the RFID tag before depositing them into a second chamber (114). An electronic controller (116) manages dispensing, return authentication, and refund processing, while an IoT telemetry unit (118) transmits operational data. Together, these components ensure secure bag issuance, verified returns, and automated refunds, creating an efficient and eco friendly reverse logistics arrangement.
