Abstract: The illustration of the design and development of a discreet smart ring for emergency alert and personal safety, with a focus on women and senior citizens. The proposed device is aimed at providing a quick, silent, and reliable means of requesting help when faced with threatening or life-threatening situations. Unlike conventional safety devices that are bulky or easy to notice, the smart ring is designed in a compact form factor that could be comfortably worn continuously. The ring features a concealed activation mechanism for SOS signaling, wireless communication, and real-time location sharing through a connected mobile application. Once activated, the emergency alarms will be transmitted to trusted contacts and may also extend to alert nearby caregivers or responders. The proposition may also integrate fall detection, low battery monitoring, and optionally context capture to empower emergency response further. Emphasis has been laid on usability under stress, false-alarm reduction, battery efficiency, and privacy. For the slow- moving user base, the ring could allow automatic distress detection and simple ways of interactivity, while for a woman, it is an acceptable and socially inconspicuous means of safety. This research addresses the rapidly growing demand for personal wearables that can help prevent abuse while providing a level of convenience and invisibility, as well as providing a user with the ability to quickly react to an emergency. The smart ring has been designed as a device that will enhance personal safety, allow users to feel more secure in their surroundings, and provide timely assistance in emergency situations.
