Abstract: SMART SENSOR SYSTEM FOR REAL-TIME DETECTION OF CHEMICAL CONTAMINATION ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a smart sensor system designed for real-time detection and monitoring of chemical contamination in water, air, and industrial environments. The system integrates an array of chemical sensors, a signal processing unit, wireless communication circuitry, and an intelligent control module within a compact monitoring platform. Each sensor responds to targeted chemical substances by generating measurable electrical signals, which are conditioned, digitized, and analyzed to identify abnormal concentrations. An embedded processing algorithm compares sensor outputs with predefined safety thresholds, compensates for environmental variations, and distinguishes potential contamination events from background interference. Upon detecting a hazardous condition, the system generates immediate alerts through a local indicator or connected mobile application and transmits relevant measurements to a remote monitoring interface. Continuous data logging enables trend analysis, contamination mapping, and timely preventive action. The modular architecture permits adaptation to different sensing materials, chemical targets, and deployment locations without substantial modification. Low-power operation supports portable, distributed, and long-duration installations. By combining rapid sensing, automated interpretation, and remote notification, the proposed system improves situational awareness, reduces dependence on manual sampling, and facilitates early intervention to protect public health, environmental quality, and industrial safety.
