MUMBAI, India, July 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631083420 A) filed by Dr. Ajita Tiwari on July 07, 2026, for Smart Solar Hybrid Millet Dehulling Machine With Automatic Roller Gap Adjustment And Adaptive Speed Control.

Inventor includes Dr. Ajita Tiwari.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: The invention provides a Smart Solar Hybrid Millet Dehulling Machine(Fig.1) with Automatic Roller Gap Adjustment and Adaptive Speed Control. The machine comprises a hopper, feed auger, emery-roller dehulling chamber with perforated screen, grain and husk outlet chutes, and a mild steel base frame on caster wheels. A 3 HP motor drives the emery roller and auger via pulley-V-belt transmission. A motorised linear actuator automatically adjusts the roller-to-screen gap using an adjusting screw, spring, guide bracket, and roller holder — eliminating manual adjustment and minimising grain breakage. An adaptive Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) speed control system varies motor speed (300–1200 RPM) in real time based on load sensor feedback. A hybrid solar-electric power system with solar panel, charge controller, battery, inverter, and auto-switch provides seamless switchover between solar DC and grid AC power. Processing capacity is 80–120 kg/hour. Suitable for Bajra, Jowar, Ragi, Foxtail, and other millets.
