Abstract: Abstract Stealing blankets is a routine affair for passengers traveling in air- conditioned coaches in the Indian Railway. Complaints have been registered regarding the theft of railway blankets over the last few years. The thefts have caused significant financial damage to the Indian Railways. Also these thefts impacts the staffs salary to manage the loss. To address this issue and protect railway assets ,a smart tag enabled blanket system is essential .This system would trigger an alarm when a tagged blanket comes into contact with the coach doors, alerting the staff and helping to prevent thefts effectively.
