The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: SMART TOUCH-BASED SWITCHBOARD SYSTEM A smart touch-based switchboard system (100) includes a substantially transparent light-guide panel (102) having one or more icon regions (106c) formed by engraving, etching, patterning, or diffusion treatment corresponding to predefined control regions for electrical devices. A capacitive touch sensing panel (104) is optically coupled to the light-guide panel (102) and detects touch inputs at locations corresponding to the icon regions (106c). An illumination system (106) injects light into the light-guide panel (102) to selectively illuminate the icon regions (106c). A control circuit (108) receives touch input signals, determines a selected control region associated with an illuminated icon region (106c), generates control signals for corresponding electrical devices, and controls illumination based on device status, system state, or user interaction. The icon regions (106c) remain substantially concealed when unilluminated and become visibly identifiable as illuminated touch-operable control regions when illuminated through the substantially transparent light-guide panel (102).
