Abstract: The present invention relates to an IoT-based intelligent traffic management and urban safety system integrated with traffic signal infrastructure for real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and coordinated traffic control. The system comprises Traffic Signal Intelligent Nodes (TSINs) equipped with cameras, sensors, edge processors, communication modules, and cloud connectivity for detecting vehicles, monitoring traffic density, identifying accidents, and analyzing abnormal road conditions. The invention predicts congestion spread following accidents and dynamically generates alternative route guidance to minimize secondary traffic buildup. The system further enables infrastructure-based criminal vehicle tracking, vehicle theft detection, and road-level pollution estimation using artificial intelligence and traffic analytics. A centralized cloud platform performs large-scale data processing, predictive analysis, and zone risk classification, while secure web and mobile interfaces provide role-based access to authorities including police, traffic departments, and emergency services. The invention transforms conventional traffic systems into predictive, preventive, and coordinated smart-city management infrastructure.
