Abstract: In today's rapidly urbanizing world, green spaces are becoming increasingly scarce, making rooftop gardening a promising solution for sustainable urban agriculture. This thesis presents the development of an innovative virtual platform designed to educate and engage users in rooftop gardening through an immersive simulation-based experience. The platform realistically models plant growth by factoring in key environmental elements such as sunlight exposure, water levels, and nutrient availability. To make the learning process intuitive and hands-on, the simulation includes interactive controls, step-by-step training scenarios, and planning tools that allow users to experiment with different rooftop garden layouts. Furthermore, virtual tours and design modules provide users with the opportunity to visualize and create personalized green spaces, turning theoretical knowledge into practical application. By combining education with interactivity, this platform not only simplifies the complexities of rooftop gardening but also inspires users to contribute to greener cities. The ultimate goal of the project is to empower individuals regardless of prior gardening experience to participate in sustainable practices and transform unused urban rooftops into thriving gardens, thereby supporting a healthier and more environmentally conscious future.
