Abstract: ABSTRACT: Smart Vertical Indoor Saffron Cultivation System with Dormancy Control and Predictive Optimization This invention describes an intelligent indoor vertical saffron cultivation system designed to enhance productivity through controlled environment farming and dormancy manipulation. The system integrates a multi-layer growth architecture with environmental sensing, spectral lighting, automated irrigation, and thermal regulation mechanisms. Real-time monitoring of parameters including temperature, humidity, substrate moisture, carbon dioxide concentration, and light intensity is achieved through interconnected sensors, with data transmitted via IoT- enabled communication to a cloud-based digital twin platform. The digital twin simulates plant growth conditions and supports predictive analysis using artificial intelligence algorithms. Based on such analysis, environmental parameters are dynamically regulated to optimize growth and flowering. A controlled thermal dormancy manipulation process enables induction and termination of dormancy, thereby facilitating multiple flowering cycles within a single cultivation period. The system provides a scalable, resource-efficient, and climate- independent solution for consistent and high-quality saffron production.
