Abstract: The present invention pertains to a Smart Water Wastage Detection and Intelligent Automated Control System for minimizing loss of water by constantly monitoring water distribution networks, storage tanks, domestic pipelines, commercial buildings, and agricultural irrigation systems and the like, with intelligent control of water assets.The present invention relates to an intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) based Smart Water Wastage Detection and Intelligent Automated Control System for continuously monitoring water distribution networks, storage tanks, domestic pipelines, commercial buildings, agricultural irrigation systems and other such water distribution systems with the aim of minimizing water loss through intelligent control of water assets. The invention combines various sensing technologies such as flow sensors, pressure sensors, ultrasonic water level sensor, acoustic vibration sensors, and smart valve controllers with edge-based Artificial Intelligence (Al) analytics to ensure leak detection and predictive water management. In contrast to traditional systems which only detect water leakage once a large amount has been consumed, the proposed invention utilizes adaptive machine learning algorithms which learn and detect abnormal water usage patterns, micro-leakage, pipeline bursts, tank overflows, unauthorized water use, and valve failure in real-time. The system also includes a Digital Water Twin model, which uses a continuous flow of expected hydraulic behavior to draw conclusions about unknown leak locations and predict future failures, based on the data collected by the sensors. If any abnormalities are detected, the controller will intelligently isolate the corresponding pipeline using solenoid valves while alerting users and maintenance personnel via GSM, Wi-Fi or cloud-based application. A predictive maintenance module capable of estimating the state of pipes based on the pressure variations and flow anomalies to avoid future pipe failure. The system can be operated with renewable energy, with the optional solar-powered module, it can be used in remote villages and in agriculture. Cloud connectivity allows for long-term analysis, water consumption optimization and monitoring on the city level. The intelligent automation, predictive analytics and autonomous decision-making aspects of the proposed invention substantially contribute to more intelligent water conservation, lower maintenance costs, less damage to infrastructure, and improved sustainable water resource management.
