Inventors include Dr. S. Shahul Hammed; D. Aakash; B. Santhiya; and Dr. S. Pavalarajan.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: TITLE: SMART ZONAL IoT-ENABLED FLOOR MAT DEVICE FOR INTRUSION DETECTION AND ENTITY CLASSIFICATION The present invention relates to a smart security device designed to detect unauthorized intrusion in restricted areas using an intelligent anti-theft flooring mat. The system integrates Force Sensitive Resistor (FSR) sensors and piezoelectric sensors to identify pressure and vibration caused by footsteps. Sensor data is processed by an ESP32 microcontroller to accurately detect intrusion events and reduce false alarms. The system provides instant alerts through buzzer alarms, GSM communication, and IoT-based cloud notifications while maintaining a real-time log of intrusion events. The invention focuses on accurate intrusion detection, low power consumption, reliable real-time monitoring, and scalability for applications in banks, museums, warehouses, offices, and other high-security environments.
