Abstract: A smoke and fire hazard detection and response system for a fuel pump station, comprising of a structural frame 101, a suction fan 103 to collect air samples from a surrounding environment for analysis of smoke and gaseous particles, a metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) gas sensor 104 to detect vape aerosols, an electrochemical sensor 105 to detect cigarette smoke and vehicle exhaust gases, a UV optical sensor 106 to detect flames, flammable vapours, and early fire signatures, a plurality of guiding rails 110 to allow movement of inspection unit 102, and fire extinguishing units for targeted hazard response, a mobile body 201 to move within the fuel pump station to assist in evacuation of nearby individuals, and monitor vehicles for safety compliance, and an arc-fault detection sensor 203 with a thermal sensor 204 to detect abnormal electrical arc signatures and overheating conditions that may lead to fire outbreaks.
