Abstract: The present invention relates to a soil nutrient analyser system (100) for determination of soil nutrient and moisture properties. The system comprises an illumination source (102) for emitting broadband optical radiation, a tuneable filter (104) for selectively transmitting narrow spectral bands, a photodetector (106) for converting filtered radiation into electrical signals, and a controller (108) comprising a processing unit (108a) and a storage unit (108b). The controller (108) performs calibration, coarse and fine spectral scanning, adaptive wavelength selection, and computation of soil nutrient and moisture indices. A server (110) receives, stores, and displays processed data. The system supports dynamic filter voltage adjustment, detector integration time control, LPWAN communication, and solar-assisted power supply. The invention further provides a method comprising illumination, selective filtering, detection, spectral analysis, adaptive scanning, index computation, and remote data transmission, thereby enabling low-power, cost- effective, and real-time soil monitoring.
