Abstract: A method for preparing a solar cell (100) includes providing an N-type silicon substrate (11) with alternating first regions (A1) and second regions (A2) on a first surface (11a). A first stack (12) including a first tunneling layer (121), a boron-doped polysilicon layer (122), and a first mask layer (123) is formed and selectively removed in second regions (A2) and intermediate regions (G) to create arc-shaped grooves (11r). A second stack (13) with a phosphorus-doped polysilicon layer (132) is then deposited over the entire first side. After removing wrap-around coating on the second surface (11b), portions of the second stack (13) are removed from first regions (A1) and intermediate regions (G).
