Abstract: The present invention provides a modular and scalable energy harvesting system specifically designed for public and private transport vehicles to power auxiliary onboard systems independently of the primary propulsion source. The system comprises ultra-lightweight, flexible photovoltaic panels conformally mounted to the curved roof of a bus, an MPPT-based solar controller for optimized energy capture, and a dedicated auxiliary energy storage module. A microcontroller-based Smart Energy Management Unit (EMU) utilizes embedded algorithms to dynamically allocate power to non-propulsion systems—such as HVAC, infotainment, Wi-Fi, and lighting—based on real-time demand and priority. The invention further incorporates an IoT-enabled diagnostics and telemetry interface for real-time performance monitoring and fleet management integration, effectively reducing fuel consumption, extending battery life in electric vehicles, and lowering operational costs.
