Abstract: Carbon dioxide (CO2) capture is a crucial step in the upgrading of biogas. The present invention provides a solvent composition comprising sterically hindered amines mixed with organic solvent (blends of glycols and alcohols) for improved CO2-separation for biogas cleaning. Hindered amines load more CO2, whereas organic solvents desorb at low temperatures. Such blends are efficient and easily regenerable.
