Abstract: ABSTRACT SPRAY BASED COOLING & GRAVITY-ASSISTED COLLECTING SYSTEM IN ELECTRIC VEHICLES (EV) 5 A cooling assembly (100) for battery modules in an electric vehicle is disclosed. The assembly (100) includes a cabinet structure comprising a top casing (104) having a plurality of vent holes (108) and a top surface configured to receive a plurality of cylindrical battery cells (102). A bottom casing (106) is coupled to the top casing (104) to define an enclosed 10 chamber therebetween. One or more coolant tubes (116) are housed within the bottom casing (106), each coolant tube (116) having a coolant flow path extending through the enclosed chamber. A plurality of spray nozzles (118) are disposed along each coolant tube (116) at a predefined interval, to spray a coolant (112) toward the inner surface. A collection reservoir (114) is 15 fluidly connected to the enclosed chamber to receive the coolant (112) from the inner surface of the top casing (104).
